Our purpose

Our Purpose

Co-ops and Condos United is comprised of Co-op and Condo Board Members, shareholders, and residents across New York's five boroughs. We are a city-wide effort that speaks for the more than 1.2 million New Yorkers who live in the city's 12,000 co-op and condo buildings. We work with longstanding co-op organizations, representatives, board members, and all shareholders to elevate our collective voice and advocate on the issues that hit closest to home.

What we stand for

Our Mission

We advance the best interests of co-op and condo homeowners and advocate for legislation that promotes common-sense, affordability, self-governance, and stability.

We protect co-ops from harmful legislation, unfunded mandates, and regulatory pressures that threaten our quality of life.

We partner with elected officials in Washington, Albany, and at City Hall to provide clear legislative proposals, oppose damaging bills, and fight for policies that recognize co-ops and condos as owner-occupied homes — not rental properties.

Leadership

Executive Committee

Michael Wolfe Executive Member

President of Wolfe Realty Services (WRS), bringing 40+ years in NYC real estate. He founded and led Midboro Management for nearly 35 years, where he implemented best practices that elevated building performance, resident experience, and asset values.

Geoffrey R. Mazel, Esq. Executive Member

A founding partner of Hankin & Mazel, PLLC. His practice has been devoted to real estate law, with extensive experience in cooperative and condominium law, litigation, and sales and acquisitions.

Stuart Saft, Esq. Executive Member

A partner at Holland & Knight, chairs the firm's New York Real Estate Practice and co-chairs the firm's Global Condominium Development Financing and Conversion practice. Stuart is the President of the co-op in which he lives.

Jane Menton Legislative Director

Jane began advocating for the co-op community as a board member at Sunnyside Towers. She continually advances issues that affect co-op affordability and longevity through live events, media, and conversations with elected officials.
